About TASSO
What You’ll Experience
Walk into a TASSO performance and you’ll feel the energy before the first note. The stage is alive with young Toronto musicians, each one focused, confident, and ready to surprise you.
The music?
Steelpan like you’ve never heard—sometimes classical, sometimes jazz, sometimes pure Caribbean joy.
Always tight, always bold.
Why People Love TASSO
Award-winning sound
TASSO has earned top honours at international festivals and played legendary venues like the Sydney Opera House.
Not just concerts – events
From the Raptors’ championship parade to charity sporting events and world tours, every show is a celebration.
No boundaries
The setlist jumps from Bach to Céline Dion and Andrew Lloyd Weber, all reimagined for steelpan.
Who’s Behind the Music
Director Salmon Cupid and a dedicated group of young musicians who put in serious hours— rehearsing, arranging, and pushing each other to get better. The result: performances that are disciplined, creative, and always memorable.
Why It Matters
TASSO isn’t just about music. It’s about giving young talent a stage, building their confidence and showing them what’s possible when discipline meets passion.
