Toronto All Stars Steel Orchestra performed in July, 2013 in Vienna Austria. They had the audience dancing and singing – no DJ’s – just the sweet sound of steelpan.
It was an honour performing for all these fine musicians. We were the only steel band at the festival, and the festival comprised of several 100 piece traditional orchestras and choirs.
I would LOVE to see more steelbands leaving Trinidad and Tobago after Panorama and not just packing up and waiting for the next year’s Panorama. There is so much the steelpan fraternity can do for themselves like attend music festivals around the world.
