25th Anniversary Gala
Liberty Grand, Toronto
A night celebrating 25 years of TASSO and raising funds for Project Harmony.
TASSO, the Toronto All Stars Steel Orchestra
TASSO · Toronto All Stars Steel Orchestra
One orchestra. Two ways to be part of it.
In 2000, musical director Salmon Cupid and a group of parents had one goal: let kids keep playing steelpan after elementary school. That idea became TASSO.
Today, Toronto musicians aged roughly 12 to 20 play Bach, Céline Dion and Andrew Lloyd Webber on steel. They've won Gold at the Sydney Opera House, toured Europe, and marched in the Raptors championship parade.
The orchestra is Toronto All Stars Steel Orchestra. The registered charity behind it is TASSO Friends of Rosedale, which raises the money that keeps it going. Come for the music. Stay for the mission.
