Concert · Toronto All Stars Steel OrchestraScotland 2015: Hawkhill and Westhill Concerts
Two shows in one day: a care home in the morning, then a shared concert with bands from England, the U.S. and Ghana.
July 29, 2015Hawkhill House · Westhill
The day began outdoors at Hawkhill House, a care home TASSO had also visited in 2009. Many residents live with dementia; the band played for an hour and got them smiling (and Nestor got them laughing with his dance moves).
That evening at Westhill, TASSO shared the stage with the Blackburn with Darwen Big Band from England, Western Arts University Ambassadors from the U.S., and a group from Ghana. All four came together for In the Mood. Told by Spencer.
