My name is Aleyah, I am 16 and I have been playing the steel drums for almost 13 years now. My early exposure to aspects from various cultures, like food, music, and art, has invoked a passion for different sounds, flavours, linguistics and more from all around the world. Salmon and TASSO have created a truly unique and amazing outlet for people like me to express themselves and learn outside of usual classroom curriculum, and being able to take this community of creativity and passion outside of a classroom and across the world is such an astounding opportunity. Summer of 2019 our band is going to Spain, and for my first trip with the band, and to Europe, I couldn’t be more excited.
