Hi! My name is Sofia. I’m 13 years old and this is my fourth year in TASSO. I started playing steel pan when I was in grade one and have loved playing ever since. My favourite performance that I was a part of was when we played at the Raptors Parade in 2019. It was so exciting and definitely a day I will never forget. I’ve always had an interest in music and love listening to it, playing it (I’ve taught myself how to play the ukulele) and singing. Outside of school and steel pan, I enjoy soccer, dance, track, beach and indoor volleyball. My favourite fruit is strawberries and my favourite vegetable is edamame. I love travelling to hot places and spending time on the beach. I’m so happy to be a part of this band and can’t wait to experience the opportunities we’ll have together.
